US: Building permits and housing starts beat consensus at 0.946M and 0.917M in February

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Building Permits rose from 0.904M to 0.946M in February, beating consensus of 0.925M. January data was revised lower, from 0.925M.

Housing Starts also improved more than expected, from 0.910M (revised from 0.89M) to 0.917M. Market consensus was at 0.915M.

Canada: Wholesale Sales disappoint at 0.3% in January

The rise in wholesale sales in Canada didn’t go as high as the expected 0.4%, coming in at 0.3% after December’s drop of -1.1% (revised from -0.9%). Manufacturing shipments eased from -3.3% (revised from -3.1%) to -0.2%, against expectations of +0.9%.
